Shame for Evan although maybe it's a good thing to be playing top 500 players shows him the standard required. Reckon both him and Jonny will be big climbers next year with any luck.

I'm with steven on this one - four-letter boys names beginning with L - why is it so difficult ???? OK, so it's not difficult for normal mortals, I'm just one of the lesser kind with names . . . Yes, yes. Liam . . . (the other bit stands though . . .)

Sorry . . . (maybe there's actually a benefit to them all being called Dan and Josh ?)

Snap ^

It went up to 30mins since the last score update but now its marked as complete, with Liam losing but with no score. Hmm. Injury?

Luke's match now started. Down an early break 0-1

JWH 1-2 on serve

Well well.. what's this? Looks like Liam wasn't injured after all. Better still he won. According to his twitter 6-3 6-2. smile

Must have been a technical glitch or something.

In other news Luke back on serve after going a break down 4-3

Jonny a break down 1-3

JWH on serve 3-2

Well done Joshua ! 7-6 7-5

I do wonder if that man just dozes some of the time and suddenly 'wakes up' . . . but as long as he wakes up at the right moment, great.

PS ah, Bob in Spain, they're saving that for later, probably in the doubles where it can cause ALL sort of confusion . . . hmm

Confirmed on Liam's twitter: "Got the win today against Fatael 6-3 6-2. Playing better everyday. Doubles in a little while"

Edit: Whoops, should have read earlier up in the thread no

QF:  Luke Bambridge & Evan Hoyt CR 2565 defeated Lance Cohen & Oran Reznik (RSA/ISR) UNR by 3 & 4

Could've been a little easier:  the boys served for the match at 5-2 in the second!

Luke's match is underway.

Had hoped Toby would get through yesterday to make it 5 out of 7 but 4 is pretty good.

And the 'infant school teacher' in me likes the fact that they're 'sharing nicely' - i.e. with Luke and Liam winning yesterday, every one has now got a victory or two. (purely hypothetical infant school teacher, I should add . . . )

Luke 4-1* up

Liam's match score has been hung for the last 17 mins. A MTO for someone ?

JWH to start shortly.

Looks suspiciously as though Liam had to retire:  the results section now shows Fatael as having won by 0-0, although Liam was clearly ahead when the score stopped being updated...  hmm

Oh, poor Liam. The doubles title last week was nice but this trip is not going according to plan. Do hope he's OK.
