Let's be clear, I too much prefer Heather's attitude - to me, Laura tries far too hard to be 'cool' whereas Heather just is cool, in the best sense of the world.
But ... Laura has made it clear that for her, Twitter is about things other than tennis and I don't think that's something to reproach her for, even if (from a tennis obsessive's perspective) I much prefer the approach taken by Heather and others like her.
At least Laura doesn't tweet about football (and, even worse, console football games) all the time

I know, the timing was funny (and the fact that it was you who drew attention to it even more so ) but I don't see why she should necessarily say anything about them - it's possible Heather simply knows one or both of them better than Laura does. I like seeing the Brits supporting each other on Twitter, but if every British player tweeted about every other British player's success, they'd be tweeting nearly as much as .. er .. me

Like everyone else, so delighted for the brothers. What a way to start off in the ATP! St Petersburg must bring out the best in Mr (K) Skupski. I think I'm right in recollecting that while Flemski played in ATP-level tournaments in the UK before Autumn 2009, that partnership also really took off when they won first Metz and then St Petersburg, which were their first "foreign" ATP outings.
But even that's not quite so spectacular as getting to the final in your first ATP tournament ever as a pairing. Or in N's case, as an individual.

Except that this tournament is taking place in Moscow, Spectator. I think the clue's to be found in the fact that the boys are playing for the Kremlin Cup... That said, your enthusiasm is understandable & to confirm your recollection, Flemski definitely won the St P in 2009, then Colin won it again in 2011 with Ross.
Ah yes. Thanks for the correction! Did I mention that geography was not my subject at school? What I *meant* to say (well, not really, but a little revisionism never hurt) was that Russia must bring out the best in Mr Skupski ...

"Revisionism"! Ah, yes. The Russians, I do believe, not to mention the Chinese, excel at it!
I like what one Spanish tweeter said: En Moscú la final de dobles tiene la presencia de unos hermanos muy especiales: los Skupski. Intentan seguir el camino de los Bryans.
[Rough translation: In Moscow, the doubles final includes two very special brothers: the Skupskis. They're trying to follow ... well, we would probably say in the Bryans' footsteps, though it's not the literal translation]
Indeed! And nice to know it's not just Brits watching ... and hoping ... and waiting. (With an emphasis at present on the waiting!)
