Week 42 - ATP 250 Series: Kremlin Cup, Moscow, Russia (Hard) - doubles

QR1 Neal Skupski WR 1389 vs Roman Jebavy WR 299

Have edited the title to reflect the fact that the thread no longer relates to any singles matches.

The first break point Neal faced was also set point. Unfortunately he couldn't save it. 6-1 4-6.

Come on Neal.

Jabevy takes 2nd set. Both players have now received a medical time out for what looks like the same injury. Neck/shoulder.

The brothers move up a level & would appear on the face of it to be in with a chance of making the quarter-final, where they would probably end up facing Mirnyi & Tecau:

R1:  Albert Ramos & Joćo Sousa (ESP/POR) CR 660 vs Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 200

Could you merge the two threads together as Neal probably won't get far in the singles

Make that 4-0.

This is very surprising - almost suspicious? Bit like when BBD mashed Kudrayatsev. Is there an anti corruption spot fixing task force in tennis?

I'm sure I'm too cynical for my own good and I'm not giving Neal enough credit but I'd be fascinated to know how many bets there have been on 6-1 for the first set
