I said rob carter would be too strong for

Marsi but if JJD is up for it he  be tougher proposition if rob plays his best tennis he's got a 33% chance

I think rob carter can climb into top 600 in 2014 .

I just hope he does not do it before my Aegon team nominations cos can only play 2 top 750 players .

Coups is a good Doubs player like to see him pair regularly with good GB doubles player Cos playing scratch at any level is tough !

One of my pet hates marzi pulls out of doubles cos out of singles it's such a let down for partner and in my book a no no .

Wonder if Tom Allen will get a MD WC for Loughborough based on this performance ?

If we say that 68 points is enough to be in the top 500 at the end of 2013, 14 players (including Josh Goodall) have achieved this so we need 6 more to reach 20.

Within 15 points are:
Neil P
Boggo
Jamie B
Dan S

Jamie Baker has retired so we need 3 other players to get to 20 at the end of 2013. Doesn't seem likely.

Guys, is the vowel in Alexander Jhun's last name the same as the one in "fun", or the one in "put"? Or maybe the one in "moon"?

And out of interest, what is his ancestry, I wonder? By my fairly limited knowledge, the combination JH is fairly unique and absent from most major European languages*, but is very common in the languages of the Indian subcontinent (where it denotes an aspirated form of J).  Jhun doesn't seem to look like a person with subcontinental ancestry, so I'm curious about the source of his fantastic last name.

* I'm fairly sure such cases simply document nonconformist spelling, without a change in pronunciation.

3-3 , zero BPs, in the Josh/Rob serve slugfest

3*-4 on serve in Ash/NVSP (although Ash had been 3-1 up_

Ash wins the first set 6-4.

Zero BPs right up to 5-5 - and then suddenly Josh G breaks Rob and will serve for the set. Experience ?

Early breaks in the second for ash and JoshG (who won the first 7-5)

Solid from Ash and Josh so far. Tom Allen winning would be a pretty huge upset, and I think Tom's match is a close call.
