It should be an interesting few weeks for Kyle. He has obviously set himself some lofty goals for the remainder of the year but it looks like he wants to stay on clay so presumably will be limited to playing futures and possibly the Casablanca challenger in week 44. Playing futures obviously gives him a chance for some deep runs but he will need at least 2, probably 3 good weeks if he is to achieve his goals. I certainly don't want to see Kyle chasing points in late November / December so I would say 5 more weeks competing and he should be done for the year. That would give him time for a decent break followed by some good preparation for next year.
The plan is 2 weeks training in Roehampton and then 3 weeks with Muzza in Miami prior to heading off to the Australian Open
However, this info is subject to two things : (1) My memory being correct and (2) Andy having recovered sufficiently from his back surgery.

2 weeks of clay $15k clay futures in Hungary for Kyle ahead of......well I'm not sure what he's planning next.
He should be seeded both weeks, so looking forward to him making some inroads into his year end ranking points objective. I'd be disappointed if he didn't come away with at least 16 points over the 2 weeks: 2 SFs or a Final and a L16......perhaps ambitious, but I'm fairly certain now that he and his coaching team will be expecting more than that.
Not a single tweet from Kyle about FIFA13/14 in the last couple of months, continuing his controversial habit of focussing more on tennis matters than console games or Nandos, unlike his more successful young GB colleagues. Letting the side down.
Kyle is on the list for the 15k in Croatia (Dubrovnik) for week 42 although deadline day for withdrawals is tomorrow. There is another one for week 43 as well in the same place, so don't be surprised if he plays the four in a row. I am sure much will depend upon how things go in the first two weeks.

Koniusz (first name pronounced Bwazhay, by the way) has a career high of 445, set back in 2008. He has reached the semis of both Futures he has played this month so seems to be in decent form. However, Kyle is 5-0 v Poles since Wimbledon.

Logical step for Kyle if his ambitions are to get to the Aussie Open. He is more likely to pick up decent points in a 15K where he is expected to go deep, rather than a challenger and a bad draw could see him pick up very little.
Quarters and semi's minimum must be the target for these 15K runs. If he is looking to play 5 tournaments by year end he will need around 10-15pts average to get into qualifying dependent on the cut off.

If you are right that Kyle needs 10-15 points average per tournament to make it to AO qualies (I'm not sure what the consensus is on his required ranking/ points), then having a QF and SF minimum target wouldn't be enough without a sprinkling of wins/finals - he needs to be averaging between SF (8 points) and Final (15 points) every week.
I have my doubts as to whether apparent lack of tweeting or gaming has been absolutely essential to Kyle's rapid progress !
A certain Andy Murray has been an avid gamer, not sure how much nowadays, and has been known to send the odd tweet about gaming ( he's a FIFA fan ) and other things nothing to do with tennis.

Well yes, we probably overstate the importance of some players twitter activity. However I do think the fact that Kyle seems intent on putting across a professional image is an indication of his maturity and so not entirely unconnected to his relative success as a tennis player.
Kyle actually has 31pts to defend and is 39pts off the 250 ranked player this week, so 70pts would definitely get him into Aussie Open. 50pts may be enough if the cut is around 275. So semi final and finals required unless he decides to play more than 5 tournaments.
1-6 1-5*. This has been a complete destruction job so far. Kyle being completely wiped off the court if the stats are to be believed: even his 2 games won were touch and go!
GSM 1-6 1-6. The Pole won more than double the points that Kyle managed. Never in trouble on serve - broke or pressured Kyle on every single service game.
3 options here.
1. Something is wrong. Illness. Niggle.
2. Disasterous day at the office. Kyle doesn't seem that type though.
3. The Pole played well, and there's something about the specific match-up, perhaps a bit like Balleret recently, which acts a bit like Kryptonite to Kyle's game.....where a decent but not great player has something about them which exposes Kyle's weaknesses (not that I've noticed too many of those).
Would love to know what went wrong.....this is the player that was 4-1 up final set against Bedene, a top 100 player, a couple of weeks ago.
