Neil breaks for 3-1, although the break might not mean much (!)

His opponent isn't known yet but it's either going to be a qualifier ranked 1136 or a guy ranked 851 (both German).

Good.

Nell would appear to still be some way below his best, but hopefully getting back some confidence, and three wins is three wins !

Another final for Neil:

SF:  (3) Nikolaus Moser (AUT) & Neil Pauffley CR 1996 defeated  (1) Sebastian Bader & Erik Crepaldi (AUT/ITA) CR 963 by 4 & 3

A good win for them! biggrin

An amazingly dogged defence of his title by Neil this week biggrin - that's four 3-set wins, three of them from a set down ... and 9 singles wins in a row in Hambach! I don't know how long he has spent on court reaching both the singles and the doubles finals here (I imagine the points rattle through relatively quickly, at least), but he has already played 159 games - 124 in singles and 35 in doubles!

With his 12-set quadruple GER-bash, Neil could certainly teach the England football team a thing or two about winning tight matches against Germans wink
