Yes, he is the defending champ, though it was a week earlier so the points have already dropped off, hence Neil's likely fall out of the top 500 next Monday, though he might just hang on. That of course means any additional points he gets here this year will move his ranking back up a bit

 I think he won the British Tour event last week - a few wins never went amiss.

Plus I recall he won this very event last year, so the carpet must suit him.......
