R1: Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 73 v (WC) Tatsuma Ito & Go Soeda (JPN/JPN) CR 767
R1: Dominic Inglot & Treat Huey (PHI) CR 59 v Kevin Anderson & Paul Hanley (RSA/AUS) CR 198
Jamie and John would likely face the Bryan brothers in the QFs while Dom and Treat would likely face Granollers and Lopez. Still, even one win here is enough for 90 points.
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
That's superb - particularly the Huey and Inglot win. Even more convincing than their win in New York, especially given that Mr Granollers hadn't been worn out by successive five-set matches this time. Murray and Peers now 12th in the race. Huey and Inglot equivalent with Linstedt and Nestor. All very exciting.
