That salmon shirt was the tennis equivalent of Samson's hair.

Good outing overall, but this was a fantastic opportunity to reach a 100K quarter final. I'm hoping that Dan will stay back for Tiburon, since this setting is probably working well for him.

First post on here, so don't shout.

Watching Jenkins, Evans next opponent, play doubles. He looks better than his ranking suggests.

Good to see courtside encouragement for Evans yesterday from at least one fellow British player. Hunting in packs is the way to go, far better than lonely, unsupported journeys to far-flung outposts.

Big welcome to Eddie the Eagle.  Glad you landed on our board.

And agree with your point that moral support on site is a big advantage

Cox's doubles has been moved to stadium court so is on the USTA stream.

They've put Evans (after Kyrgios v Kokkinakis which starts at 7pm BST) on the second court tomorrow so only the crappy bet365 steam to watch. Shame they have put those two matches on the 2nd court. Dan E's doubles R1 is last on stadium though.

Looking at the draw sheet, I reckon this tournament has broken the record for the greatest concentration of surnames beginning with K.

Guess how many without looking.

Kokkinakis, Klahn, Kendrick, Kyrgios, the Bulgarian qualifier. How many am I missing?

Cox/Arevalo save 6 set points (the first five on Cox's serve, the final 1 on Arevalo's return) and win the 1st set 7-6(6).
