After last week, to his credit, his overall ranking score of 101 points now has the maximum 18 counters including 4 one pointers.
So for now his official ranking points total will only increase when he reaches a QF ( his only remaining points to defend from last year are 2 points due off in late November ).
PS not wanting to fuel the flames but Marcus will be British no. 11 as things stand and if Marcus wins his next match, he will be no. 9 definitely and go to British no.8 if Dave Rice fails to bring off an upset against Guez (the no. 1 seed in France).

Lewis Burton currently racing through his match too - 6-0 1-0 - would be pretty unusual if BOTH Marcus and him won their matches without dropping a single game !
I keep thinking Lewis will get a change in form soon as he was playing so well earlier in the year and all this successful match practice in the doubles should improve his match confidence. Maybe tomorrow..
