A1, I think the Wang story is not as magical as you think it might be.
It's true that he was unranked a year ago but six months before that he was about WR 600.
In fact, he spent 2010 going from 1000+ to WR 572 at year-end.
In 2011 he was in the 500s all year (high of WR 494 I think).
In 2012 he drifted out, losing in the first round of a couple of domestic tourneys and then not playing any tournaments whatsoever after May.
I can't find any info but I assume he was either injured or had a bad run and needed to take a break. But he's not a kid who's come from absolutely nowhere.
No definitely - Disadvantaged thats when it's not your fault more politically correct
If you are going down the academic snob route, please get your punctuation right. 'thats' is a contraction of 'that is' so there should be an apostrophe to denote the missing letter - that's.

Let's not go down this route KK. Even those who know the rights and wrongs make mistakes, make typing errors, don't check their posts or in my case can't be bothered to go back in and add question marks, correct missing letters, etc. I'm sure you would have a field day with my english.
We can all be pedants when it suits us, myself very much included, but it becomes a tit-for-tat game in the end. Suggest we all go back down to DEFCOM 4, rather than ramp it up to DEFCOM 2! I'm sure Mr Lewis will adapt his game style to his opponents in time if that's what it takes to win!
No hard feelings - when you stick your head above the parapet as often as I do then you get a few bruises .
Your be surprised how much autonomy I give my team because you learn best by doing . Anybody who would like to visit or have a tour of A1 Pharmaceuticals is very welcome . I am a strong leader but I listen to my experts within the team , my role is very much Father of the company so I tried to guide & mentor my young people
You do not have the success that we have had as a "Team " without a happy team .
Interesting statistic my top 10 employees are under 40 and been at A1 for 15 years or more .
There have been many similar stories like Marcus's within the business - we are proud of the opportunities that we have given to young people in business & sport Often from very poor backgrounds .
I was lucky to have some brilliant mentors including Professor Fernando who tutored me in Maths & physics , my economics teacher who told me i was a natural entrepreneur , without there generosity and free time I would not have graduated in pharmacy and founded A1 .
Its gone a full circle it's time for me to give back and mentor those that feel I can help them !
And to be honest I am very different than the average person which I guess makes me a useful specialist in the team let's say I am never afraid to swim against the current or break with tradition
I have my faults and like any man I am far from perfect but it's those perceived imperfections that ironically appear to have given myself or those i mentor success . Whats important to me is that i am true to my cause .
When your a Lewis your always looking to fight a cause !
I strongly believe that if you have never fought for cause then you have never lived !

So if Wang wins this week I wouldn't read too much into it - certainly wouldn't assume that Wang is better than Ivo (one match all, in two consecutive weeks, is all square).
Wang has certainly played a huge number of matches this year - over 110.
But for what it's worth, I think Marcus will beat Wang.

Very well put. Well done. Seconded.
Normally I bite my tongue and ignore all the grammatical errors on this forum (not least because I find spelling difficult, so probably have made a few errors myself), but I was unable to do so when someone was holding himself out as an academic superior!
I may be a pedant about English, but all I can say is that a lot of my time has been wasted by having to get back to people who have produced ambiguous sentences due to bad punctuation and I have experience of a missing comma which cost £5 million.

I couldn't have put it better myself. And given the typos and grammatical errors I find when I read back my own posts, who am I to point out the errors in anybody else's posts.
So from now on, I am not going to point out any more errors. I promise.
Oh. And by the way. It is DEFCON (as in Defense Condition) and not DEFCOM
OK, we've started and let's finish it now. Well said, korriban.
This forum generally contains good writing with still plenty typos and grammatical errors. But they cost nothing here so they really DO NOT matter.
I have a bit of a thing about apostrophe misuse, and there are "guilty" parties on here. But would I pull anyone up, when I can perfectly understand what they are writing ? No way !
We do perfectly well without grammar / spelling pedants, tzars, or whatever one wants to call such individuals.
But I see it is NOT a repeat final of last week and that Wang has dispatched Mr Klec quite comfortably.
Yes 9 finals in 6 weeks ( 3 singles ) ,
As I think coup pointed out Wang was defeated by Ivo in Kuwait F2
But demo's that Wangs form is improving its 22 singles points gained in Kuwait I think bomb would have settle for that prior to coming out anything is now a bonus .
Also it's 38 doubles points and chance to make it 46 !
So progressing on 2 fronts which is not easy but it's all contributing to improved match fitness & team morale
Find it tough proof read text want to focus on the results on this forum
- but I was hoping that might have proved a point to the Lta that a they have let more than one slip through the net and it's not a weakness to give 2nd chances !
