Evo is probably just taking the week off but if he doesn't do too well at Tiburon, I think he will play Tour qualies at Moscow/Stockholm/Vienna.
There was talk of him trying to get a wild card into one of these events.
I checked on it and it seems like Lagardère Unlimited don't manage any of the autumn/winter European events, so let us see how good Evo's agent is at pulling strings! Kyrgios already has a WC for Stockholm, so maybe that particular door is closed on Evo.
Am I the only person who would feel very uneasy if Evans got a wild card for any of these events? I'd still wish him well, but considering the amount that I have grumbled about non-British players getting a WC at Queen's or Wimbly, I don't see how I could support Evans getting a wild card in Sweden or Russia.
No, you wouldn't be the only one. I'm particularly uneasy about players getting WCs because their management companies have some influence on the tournaments. It tends to give even more of an advantage to the grand slam nations because players from those nations are also more likely to get over-hyped and thus get 'managed' earlier in their careers.

How about their childhood buddies being multiple Slam champions?
I don't know about dodgy management company wild cards for Evo, but Hev(o) has got one for Luxembourg (via a Twitter informant but also confirmed at http://bit.ly/18Q0ywD )

Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
Kyrgios is out injured, so maybe Evans will get that wild card. I wonder if we'll see Soderling or Vinciguerra will make their latest comeback? Pim-Pim Johansson has announced that he intends to take part in the qualifiers.

Is it really best for Hev to get a wildcard into md at Luxembourg. Perhaps it would have been better to go through qualifying and get some confidence with a couple of wins before the md? Depends when she applied, she obviously hoped to be in Japan longer this week...
Yes, all the three tournaments are holding up wild cards for Fed!
Dino took this week off, so maybe he'll pop in at some qualifier this weekend? Given that there are three Tour events next week, plus a Challenger in France, there's a chance that he'll be seeded, depending on which tournament he chooses.

Jonas Bjorkman has just announced on Twitter that the final main draw wild card has gone to Milos Raonic
