Laura breaks again. It sounds like damned with faint praise, but KZ's unforced errors are way worse than Laura's UEs. Laura's hit some wild shots going for direct winners, and put a lot of balls a bit long, trying to keep depth. But KZ has simply dumped a huge number of shots into the net.

 

Bob, she did go 2-1 and she's now 4-1, honest, - got the stream.

Laura is favourite with the bookies for today's match, which I found surprising as Zakopalova is the higher ranked player.

I think how well Laura can take advantage of Zakopalova's relatively weak serve will be key to this match.

about 300 in the stadium with a 10K capacity

same all year round & wta need to do something - dunno what but its there job sure they cant be happy with empty stands for all but 6 weeks a year

You don't get many sets of women's tennis without a single break.

Not particularly great from Laura so far but she battled well from 5-5 0-40, and crucially didn't make a single error in the tie-break

a set like so many in robson matches this year where both player manage to be losers so ugly was it

but laura take the tb and winning ugly is still winning whether i can stand to keep watching another set of that though...

Laura probably needs to win this in 2 sets. She is clearly under the weather so stamina could be an issue.
