No (assuming you mean WTA points!)

No surprises, but we need the top 3 to be fit and in reasonable form.
Belgian team : very strong ( Flipper, Wickmayer, Van Uyt.., Mestach )

So Croatia have left out 2 strong players Konjuh/ Tom.

Luckily I don't think we can play Belgium as the two top ranked teams (not 100% sure of the rules for the draw though).

I'm waiting to see which side Romania nominate they they could field a very strong line up.

Edit: Romania pick Halep, Cirstea, Niculescu and Begu - we definitely want to avoid them in our group

As I'm going to Budapest for this event, I have mixed feelings about teams picking strong line ups - it would be good for entertainment with more top players there, and good for GB if they don't turn up.

Lots of these players will pull out. Romania did this last year too, I'd be very surprised if all 4 play.

The Ukranian and Holland teams also look strong, last year was very weak because of a huge amount of late withdrawals, and we took advantage, if Robbo isn't fit, we'll be long odds against to get through.

Indeed, no surprises, but a mini-milestone for Tara - the first time she has been selected for the GB Fed Cup team (though obviously I hope she won't have to play a live rubber at this stage, because that's probably only going to happen if one of the other three is indisposed)

Since this has been queried on Twitter - Tara has travelled with the team before (to Eilat in 2012) but not as one of the four named players.

In fact, I had "in the GB 4" in my initial tweet but thought it looked a bit odd, so changed it to "team" on the assumption that it would be obvious what I meant. Assumptions - always dangerous LOL

Did Tara actually travel in 2012 ?

I think she was meant to, but pulled out due to some injury, though still attended a team dinner before they left. So in the end was a non-travelling travelling reserve !

Might have got this wrong or maybe even a different year ?

I think that's right Indy. She injured her foot and didn't travel.

Yes, thinking back I vaguely remember that. Anyway, the important bit is that this is her first time in the team of 4.

Tony, have you bought your ticket yet ?, and if you have, which type did you buy, and which delivery option did you go for.The main reason I ask, is that for the 10000 one they don't offer the print online delivery option which is the cheapest. Perplexed !!

Just tried and had the same problem. You can get them posted, but postage costs more than the ticket itself!

A bit ridiculous as the 5000 option is available that way.

We are in Group B and draw Hungary, Romania and Latvia.

All depends on what team Romania end up sending.

Groupss are pretty even this year I think.

Also, the schedule may now change, as Tunisia have withdrawn. Sadly it seems because they refuse to compete alongside Israel.
