Given that Anna Smith beat Marcinkevica in December and Tara thrashed her in Barnstaple a few weeks earlier, I'm surprised she's giving JoKo this much trouble. Still, I was surprised Heather didn't win more easily as well, yet neither of the GB scorelines so far is odder than Babos upsetting Halep! All shows there could be plenty of twists and turns this week!

Just remembered that Phil said yesterday that the courts were very slow (the epic rallies would tend to support that theory), so maybe that suits Marcinkevica. Deuce on the Latvian's serve

No, during the group phase they play it anyway in case a tiebreak ends up being needed because the top teams have won the same number of ties as each other.
