Some lovely tennis from Mandy. Big forehand, followed by a drop shot, a lob, another crunched forehand, then her opponent finally netted a ball. Mandy is a bit of a roadrunner but has some nice slices and touches, and can crank up her forehand. Great to be able to watch her on her natural surface (Nottingham was the 1st time I'd seen her play).

But got broken back by good play from Beatriz.

Interestingly (well, a bit . . ) in Amanda's first ever futures final, back in 2008, she lost to the same player she's playing today. Time for revenge, me thinks .. .
