And suddenly, a couple of hours or so later, it all starts again. The break may well have helped Kharchenko because she's now 3-0 up.

Kharchenko took the 2nd set but Amy has just served for the match ... and been broken. That was the 17th break in 29 games, so she is now 'receiving for the match' ...

7-5 3-6 5-3*

The Ukrainian makes a good start to her service game but Amy ends up getting a match point ... saved

Yes! She breaks for the match - a career best ranking scalp and first 10K singles QF for Amy

L16: SARGEANT, Amy (GBR) Q UNR beat KHARCHENKO, Anastasia (UKR) 4 516 (CH 428 in 2012) by 7-5 3-6 6-3 biggrin

QF: SARGEANT, Amy (GBR) Q UNR v OYEN, Sofie (BEL) Q UNR (CH 403 in 2010)

By the looks of Oyen's ITF record and the fact that she is unranked now having been close to the top 400 when she was 18, the Belgian has been at college as well - she upset the 5th seed 1 & 4 today.

I love the phrase 'receiving for the game' - that's great.

And she did it. 6-3 in the third. How good is that ?

One thing that's very weird - no tweets (or RTs) from Sarah Borwell about this yet, though perhaps she's not around. Isn't Amy one of her early successes? Or at least someone she often cites as an example of someone who has done well over there.

I thought this might be a match too far (though still hoping to be proved wrong!) - Oyen is *4-0 up

Indeed a match too far losing 6-1 6-1, but this girl, Oyen is too good to play 10K's, it won't be long before she is playing 25K's again.

Oyen should win the tournament. I assume Amy and Oyen are both entered next week for the 10K
