The win has even made the ticker on the Beeb's News Channel!
Why the bad smiley for the win making the Beeb? Am I missing something?

Yes, John, indeed you are: you would know, if you had but taken the trouble to check, that that particular icon (hardly a smiley!) signifies "disbelief". The yellow one = "no".

Ahh, I tried holding my mouse cursor over the smiley on the post editor but it didn't come up with anything, my computer is a bit old and on it's last legs now. Makes sense now my prickly boardmate

Very nice. Murray and Peers now 13th in the doubles race. Tough to see them getting many more points in Japan ... but equally Gonzalez/Lipsky (10th) have a potentially tricky first-round draw (Melzer/Knowle); Benneteau/Zimonjic and Mirnyi/Tecau (respectively in 9th and 11th place) play each other in the first round in China; and Linstedt/Nestor (12th) have split up here, and are playing respectively with Bhupathi and Paes.
NB: Nestor/Paes have a combined team age of 81. Is this an all-time high?
