good stuff again

either LDL or an all johanna clash with larsson up next

LDL would be a good benchmark test as both hev & laura have had trouble with her in the last year or so

 Forgive and forget?

Another brilliant and clinical performance from Jo. It's great to see a player who probably has less ability than Laura and Hev nonetheless slowly and surely improve her game and make real progress.

Well done Jo, good luck next round. wouldn't it be lovely if all three of our ladies were close in rankings as Hev and Robbo were. Roll on 2014.

JoKo continues to impress. Closing in on a ranking high enough for Australian Open qualification. Larsson will be a good test as an established tour player at the lower end of the top 100, which is the level JoKo is currently aspiring to get to.

Would it not be preferable for JoKo, in terms of ranking points available at least, to be seeded in qualification for the AO? Win through and get a tough draw in first round and its a big points haul anyway, instead of the one point for a direct entry and a tough first round draw.

Potentially yes jenks, but that didn't exactly work out well at the USO

Only 40 points for qualifying now, so not as rewarding.

JoKo cruising through, on current form should have the beating of Larsson, but good test.
Watching on LS, the points seemed to take an eternity, I wonder whether they have ball people at this event.

joko sceduled for 08:00 uk tomorrow

pretty sure all WTA level events even 125s have to provide ballspeople (checked and they do under tour rules appendix F)

top 50 players at the entry deadline cant enter a 125K!!

Do you know if they are re-doing the whole points system for 2014 or just the slams? There are quite a few kinks in the system which could do with being ironed out (slam qualies 40 for R1 then 1- pts for R2 & 3 the most obvious one though)
