I have to agree with Korriban that Inglot did not show himself to advantage yesterday but everyone has their off days.

Hope that this is not one of those for Andy !!

Looking forward to the match.

Ah, I see, you maybe meant will a 5th match be played at all.

I expect so, but as RJA says, it doesn't have to be.

The USA didn't play the 5th rubber against Serbia last year when they lost 3-1. It will probably depend on whether Young wants to play or not.

I'm a bit in-betweenie on Inglot.

Unlike korriban I didn't see the whole match. But from the fair bit I did see, I thought he played not too bad, although has clearly played quite a lot better. I do certainly agree that he was no "revelation".

Dom was in a no win situation, thrown in on his worst surface in a game we were unlikely to win. I don't expect him to get picked again for a while.

While maybe not expecting to play, Dom was in the team on merit. He certainly didn't disgrace himself, and depending on future strategies ( i.e. whether to pick two doubles specialists ) I certainly wouldn't discount him from being in at least the team in the near future, indeed possibly as soon as any QF away to Italy on clay. Ross may become a factor, but more likely later.

Murray not playing well right now. To get broken twice by Querrey in three games is... well, embarrassing really. Down 1-3* in the tie-break.

Comes from 2-4* down to take the tie-break 7-5. Good response.

Well that was closer than we wanted. But set in the bag.

I am a complete nervous wreck.

Thanks goodness for that, won the first set despite playing badly for him. I kinda want him to lose just so that Wardy will be playing a live rubber, but also would hate him to lose.

Delete poor serving costs Andy a break..

...and insert great 3 points wins game 7 ( Querrey didn't do much wrong ).

4-3 *

It makes such a difference when Andy gets a first serve in.

That second serve is so weak.

2-4* at the change of ends...

Querrey takes it 7-3.

Murray making all the errors. Querrey barely missing a shot. Murray putting him under no pressure whatsoever, just playing short ball to forehand followed by short ball to forehand. Odd tactics.

Now this is interesting.

Certainly Querrey well deserves to be at one set all.

Now let's be upping this, Andy...

Andy certainly not at his best today. I wonder whether James has gone inside to prep for his match....
