Good to hear then that Janes showed decent form. James has had a rather uninspiring start to the year, but anywhere approaching his best it was to be expected that he would outplay Kyle here and maybe just reaffirm that he was the guy to go with.

Having been all set to watch Eurosport and avoid JL's commentary I find the alternative is Castle...a catch 22 if ever I heard one

I do love the Davis Cup atmosphere - so belligerent!

Great start. Murray's aim should not just be to win but to thrash Young and inflict some mental damage ahead of Sunday's potentially pivotal 5th rubber.

agreed, and he certainly seems to be doing enough at the moment - though I wouldn't say Young is putting up much of a defence just now.

Not to mention expend as little effort as possible in case he plays in the doubles as well.

At least the Beeb has Roscoe as a counterbalance.  wink

In fairness Lloyd is just about tolerable as long as he isn't with Castle who is always hell to listen to.

Slightly off topic, I never tire of hearing those magical words "the Wimbledon champion", safe in the knowledge that, until early July at least, they can refer only to Andy! biggrin

Easy for Andy so far, you really see the gulf in class when Murray plays someone ranked 100+

Never really seen the problem people have with John Lloyd, always seemed such a nice, genuine bloke to me and a very easy commentator to listen to, knows when he needs to talk and has a very good knowledge of the game

True, but Young is ranked #79.

As easy as 1, 2, 3.

Now the tie starts for real.
