Wow, that's horrible Hev. Lost to an injured 55 year old serving underarm :( Hope she gets some results before the end of the year. Really feel for her

Maybe is more just a confidence thing, though she played well against Halep at the US Open, and I presume actually not too bad here. So maybe getting there.
I would imagine she has received very good information and advice re the timing of her comeback and how best to priceed, so difficult from our position to second guess that.
Just hasn't been Hev's year and with confidence low, matches like this one last year she would have found a way to win, but not at the moment.
I don't doubt for a millisecond though that Hev will come through this difficult period and be better for it in the long term.

I agree she was given good advice, but you know what it's like when you receive medical advice. If you really want to do something, you go against it, maybe to your long term detriment, and a Grand Slam is something I'm sure Hev would have wanted to do. so I reckon it'll take Hev longer to recover than if she had waitind longer, but I do agree with philwrig, that she will probably get back to her old self in the end.
The good thing about a year is that it finishes - one can draw a line under it and start afresh. Of course, it would be good to see her do very well before the end of the year, too! Like others, I have huge confidence in her longer-term resilience.
