Wonder why Dom doesn't play week in week out with Treat in doubles?
Treat played Davis Cup doubles yesterday (and won), and with the team to play the reverse singles today maybe its too little preparation to get to St Petersburg after?
Treat is playing the 125k challenger in Taiwan with his DC teammate Gonzales
Obviously Treat didn't want to play a Davis Cup tie in the Philippines, fly all the way to Europe for one event, and then fly back for the Asian swing.

... especially now that he's 2 sets to 1 up but a break down against Michael Venus in the 5th rubber of the tie against New Zealand well past 1 am local time! (according to something DC twitter just RTd)

1.30 am, 5th rubber, final set - what a Treat for the fans in the Philippines!
(I'd call it the Thriller in Manila, part 2 ... but sadly it's being played in Lapu-Lapu City!)
And the "Treat" bit doesn't work, either: when I saw Dom being interviewed by John Inverdale during ITV's coverage of Roland-Garros for the first time last year, he pronounced it "tret".

Surely you know I knew that? LOL It does kind of work written on the page though

1.50 am in the Philippines and sadly for Treat , it's Venus (yes, he's got it ...) - the ex-Aussie Kiwi beat Treat from 2 sets down to end a final day of play that lasted nearly 10 hours
