For what its worth, I thought Jo was a better shout for winning this event than Laura, who I think will struggle with Zheng today.

Hope I'm very wrong though!!

I agree, I hope she will prove us wrong. It would be nice if Jo has a presser. I would guess that it was just a match too far.

I have to go out for a bit now - please keep it up Laura!

 Me too.

But no fears. I think she's got this well in hand . . ..

Pity for Jo today, but a very good week.

And that looks another perfectly decent performance today against a higer ranked player playing at home.

All the best now to Laura.

Laura said she would need to play better and it looks as though she is. Hope she can keep this level up, but I suspect Zheng will work her way back into this and it will become a real scrap.

With King awaiting, and Meusberger having taken out Cornet, it's a real shame Jo couldn't quite turn her match around, we could have been very close to an all-GB final.

This is Laura's tournament to lose. There is no-one of any calibre left in the tournament now.

Guys she's 0 - 2 down in the second. I'm worried now.

Don't say that, Laura's still very British when it comes to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I am still worried though, if honest.

Gee, I do get a bit tired about stuff such as predictable GB tiebreak loss or predictable GB snatching defeat from victory.

There have been many great fighting wins this year and I don't see any evidence of ( nor am I aware of any evidence of ) a comparatively bad GB record in that regard.

Indeed, there was one amazing couple of days not too long ago when a host of GB players fought back to win from a set down.

Thankfully our players seem to show a generally more positive attitude.

It was certainly easy to get the impression a few years back that Brits often snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, though whether they ever did it significantly more often than those from other countries, I don't know - viewing from their perspective, the French probably think their players are the best at that 'trick'!

Over the last year or two though, I can remember significantly more Brits battling to victory from the jaws of defeat than the other way round

Scroll back from the 1st one.  It's the court drying one.  The comments are quite good also.  Re Laura using 'dirty' words.

I would agree steven that we are certainly getting better, certainly Robbo has done that. She is still pretty unpredictable at matches she 'should' win though - not good for my stress levels.

5-5 now and 30-40 on Zheng's serve.

5-6 Zheng held.

Robbo's last game was to 0, so hopefull she can wrap the next one up too and win the TB.
