Broken from 30-15 at the end of the first set, and from 30-0 at the start of the second.

Tough road back, she's had a lot of matches in that humidity so wouldn't be surprised to see her run out of steam in this set.

Hope not though, she's certainly good enough to still turn this around.

In the other matches, Cornet a set and a break down to Meusburger. And signs that after dominating the match, that Monica Puig may be starting to wilt against Vania King. From a set and 5-2* up to 5-7 and 1 set all, having lost 5 games in a row. If one or both of Vania King and Meusburger reach the SFs, you really would have to say that this tournament would have opened up completely for Laura. Famous last words!

That's a shame. Just a few games she couldn't close out. A fantastic week, incredibly win over Peng but it feels like a missed opportunity given the draw to really do something special here.

Hope she can keep up her form over the Asian swing.

For what its worth, I thought Jo was a better shout for winning this event than Laura, who I think will struggle with Zheng today.
