This is the 2nd week in a row Anna has reached the QFs for the loss of just 2 games ... and the 4th match out of her last 5 that she has led off with a 1st set bagel!

The player who beat her last week, Sizikova, has reached this week's QFs without dropping a single game but today's double bagel was preceded by a R1 bye!

Mikheeva got bagelled by Jess last week but beat her in 3. She also lost to Dasha recently. Anna should fancy her chances despite the difference in rankings.

Oh no, poor Fran

Anna's loss is a bit of a shock too - either she had a terrible day at the office of Mikheeva is improving at quite a rate this summer (or is very erratic), given her previous results against Brits this summer.

Oh gee, more casualty ward stuff.

I am very impressed Fran almost made that tweet sound positive after the matter of fact opening !

Again, I am no medical expert, but the fact surely is that that's much worse than Oli's double sports hernia.

Poor Fran...
