Well done to Josh. Hope that helps his confidence, easily beating a guy ranked 100 points higher, and means he's playing well. He's got SUCH a lot of points coming off in the next few weeks . . .

Yes, an excellent win - Garanganga qualified in Binghamton a few weeks ago and went on to reach the QFs, beating Freddie Nielsen on the way. The 5 points make sure he will stay in the top 500 for at least another week too.

5 points for him too. Gets him back to about 390. Practically zero points to defend between now and the end of the year. And the double to keep ticking over too. Well done . . .
Dave Rice WR 380 v Malek Jaziri (Tun) WR 190 (although he's a lot lower if you only count points from this calendar year)
Josh Milton WR 451 v (WC) Peter Gojowczyk (Ger) WR 146
QF: Guillermo García López & Daniel Muñoz de la Nava (ESP/ESP) CR 756 vs (4) Brydan Klein & Dane Propoggia (AUS) CR 283 QF: Flavio Cipolla & Mikhail Kukushkin (ITA/KAZ) CR 647 vs (2) Jamie Delgado & Jordan Kerr (AUS) CR 258

L32: (Q) Dave Rice WR 398 v Malek Jaziri (TUN) WR 177 (CH 69 in 2012)
L32: (Q) Josh Milton WR 461 v (5/WC) Peter Gojowczyk (GER) WR 150 (=CH)
I was quite surprised to find Gojowczyk had dropped after qualifying for the US Open and reaching R2, but it turns out that last year, he reached the US Open FQR and then the Shanghai Challenger Final in the 2nd week of the US Open. He is defending Ningbo Challenger title points this week too.
