There were only 8 players in qualifying, so nobody actually had to play and Anna will be in the main draw.

I'm glad Jess didn't draw a seed given that she'd have been seeded herself if Anna hadn't got into qualifying as a WC.

So did Anna forget to enter and just turn up for qualifying sign in? She would have got in directly from her ranking, i assume.

You couldn't have asked for better draws for all three girls - expect at least 2 to win, hopefully 3.(assuming Fran is fully fit and the Brazilian is no ringer)

It is weird but there are 22 direct entrants in the draw, 8 'qualifiers' (none of whom had to play a match to qualify) and 2 wild cards, so maybe 2 of the players they were going to give wild cards to pulled out at the last moment and with no matches played in qualifying, there were no lucky losers to slot in.
