maybe when RJA said that Oli had a problem with slow starts, he meant a problem with REALLY slow starts, i.e. he needs a good three-set game to get warmed up.
Oli now two breaks up in his second match 4*-1
Oli may have lost the first set on a TB, but his level is pretty good.
Not the explosiveness of Kyle, a much more measured approach, but then Oli's opponent is much better than the fall guy who Kyle played earlier.....still nothing exceptional, but more challenging for sure.
There's nothing in this, so curious if Oli can figure out a solution, keep calm and take set 2. He should be beating players like this by now, given a reasonable progression from last year. Should be interesting......
5-4* second set. Oli had 0-40 at 4-3*. My stream broke at that point, so I didn't see the points or the reaction, although Oli's latest hold looked like calm personified.
And he had 0-30 at 5-4*, but again his opponent held firm and played very well. Good match actually.....
