That was a bit of a struggle:  J & J were leading by a break after the seventh game of the second set... hmm

 and

R1 : (3) Darren Walsh (GBR) & Ruben Gonzales (PHI) defeated Sebastian Kraila & Dagos Cristian Mirtea (ROU) 6-0 6-3

A lucky loser place has appeared in the live draw (no name in it yet) but presumably, unless there is going to be another LL place too and they draw between the top 2 LLs for them:

L32: (LL) Oli Golding WR 481 v Theodoros Angelinos (GRE) WR 314 (CH 310 last month)

The Greek won Bulgaria F7 in July and reached the QFs of the Segovia Challenger last month.

Mystery solved.

Oli gets his LL spot, playing the Greek, Theodoros Angelinos.

It would be ironic (but I wouldn't complain) if Dubarenco ended up drawing Heider Maurer and the LL spot went to an unseeded opponent.

And next week's winning lottery numbers are *********.   Sorry everyone, I am keeping them to myself biggrin

At long last another win at Challenger level for Darren & his (latest) partner - courtesy of a decent draw ( wink ):

R1:  (3) Ruben Gonzales (PHI) & Darren Walsh CR 462 defeated (WC) Sebastian Kraila & Dragos Cristian Mirtea (ROU/ROU) UNR by 0 & 3 smile

Wow, that was some rally, then Oli just looped the ball out by miles, to get broken, having saved 2 bp's.

Oli had 15-40 at 4-3*, then was far too passive on the BPs......not wanting to lose....but can still get this game..

 And did! *5-3

World no. 88 Haider-Maurer is now 6-0 in Romanian Challengers this year, having won the previous one (Timisoara in July) ... should be an interesting match tomorrow.

golding breaks for *3-2 and i must say he does look the better player at the moment - although that may be because he has (sort of) come through qualifying.
