RE: Week 36 - Great Britain F18 ($10,000) - Sheffield (Hard)

I don't know Neil (or indeed George!) but very pleased for George - he's had some hard draws recently and some close results and the time that I saw him play on the stream he seemed to have the makings of a nice game.
Well done.

And Richard beats Tom 6-3 6-3.

Which means the 3rd and 5th seeds have been knocked out . . .

Ed a set and a break up even though he has been second best for much of the match.

Dan wins 6-3 6-3.

Pleased that, if Dan was going to win, at least he won in 2 sets - I find his comments about the wrist that he had operated on being 'sore' at times a bit worrying . . . (I like to worry . . .)

Chuffed for Liam. Let's hope he can go on and make it into a really big week.

I don't know if something was up with Marcus today (he can't have been at his best to go down 1 & 1, obviously) but Liam seems to have been playing better and better over the last few weeks, which is great to see

Brilliant

That also means last week's record for the biggest GB points haul from a 10K Futures event since the latest points system started will be broken again - 55/56!
