In the end, Scott couldn't stop Ilhan from winning his 27th Turkish Futures match in a row, but the GB no. 70 didn't half give the Turkish no. 1 a fright (also, the fact Ilhan won suggests he probably wasn't injured, which makes it even more impressive for a player ranked 1909 places below him to push him so close)

SC, as she consistently does, has kept us updated about the doubles results.
I am sure I am one of many, who maybe don't take a huge interest in doubles, that still do read and note SC's posts and are very appreciative of the time she gives with them. Indeed some info filters in and I am thus much more aware of the doubles scene than I would otherwise have been.
Thanks, John, for the opening. I had just been thinking the other day that maybe we appear to take SC's doubles service for granted. I, and I am sure others, certainly do not.
You're welcome indiana. Just a lighthearted dig really, nothing malicious :)

I wouldn't worry John, Indiana is an expert at the lighthearted jape himself.
In one gag he was even seen bizarrely defending notorious rogue and serial cheat Rafael Nadal. Until I realised he was joking I couldn't believe my eyes.
Richard dropped just 4 points on serve and won 4x as many as that on the Frenchman's serve, going 1/6 on bps (so the scoreline could have been even more one-sided)

Jules Marie, ranked in the mid 200s, has had an alarming dip in form of late - certainly compared to late last year and early this year. I imagine he will have tons of points dropping off very soon and his ranking may crash. He was one of the guys that used to mop up points in GB Futures. Nonetheless it's a terrific scalp for Richard, and the manner of victory seems even more impressive. Great stuff!
He may break into top 500 as Josh G drops out, although Josh G is down to play at roehampton. Broady is in the form to break into the top 500 sooner rather than later.
