In 'the best of the rest', bravo to Youssef Hassan (6) at the G5 Amman Int. event in Jordan, for beating the number 4 seed in the quarters and only losing 7-5 in the third set in the semis. Very close.
Peter O'Donovan also played and came through one round before losing but the two boys have made the doubles final, beating the number one seeds:
SF: Youssef HASSAN (GBR)/ Peter O'DONOVAN (GBR) (3) won 3-6 6-3 (10-4) v Seif ADAS (JOR)/ Kareem ALLAF (SYR) (1)
F: Youssef HASSAN (GBR)/ Peter O'DONOVAN (GBR) (3) v Ata HERGUNVARIM (TUR)/ Tolunay SUMER (TUR)
In Trinidad and Tobago (G5), not much luck with Mia Smith and Alex Hagon winning one match before being knocked out, and Stefan Cooper losing straight off. All three players are still involved in the doubles though.
After a great showing last week, the boys rather ran out of steam in Mauritius (G5). Ben Stride lost a tight QF, Charlie Riddout got knocked out in R2 and Robbie Riddout decided to sit this one out. However,Ben has made the doubles final with the same partner as last week:
F : Brandon LAUBSER (RSA)/ Ben STRIDE (GBR) (1) v. Calvin JORDAAN (RSA)/ Kris VAN WYK (RSA) (4)
In the Neocom Open in Macedonia (G5), Shamael continues his good run:
R3 : Shamael CHAUDHRY (GBR) (5) won 7-6 (0) 6-0 v Danylo VEREMEYCHUK (UKR) (10)
