RE: Weeks 35 and 36 - US Open Men's Doubles

Great that they've won but I can't see them beating the Bryan's who have confessed they're working flat out for the Slam here...I'd love it to be our boys who spoil the party

Jamie & John have started on the televised court - trail *1-2.

Better returning from the Americans see Murray/Peers bombarded at the net and they create their first two break points of the match and convert their second to take the set.

Baker/Ram 7-5

Long game in the 7th game of the 2nd set with 2 break points for Murray/Peers but Baker/Ram hold on. Lots of good quality play here and you can see how much both pairs want this.

Murray/Peers 5-7 *3-4

Two great volley from Jamie from 30-30. 4-4.

30-30 on Jamie's serve Ram plays a lob which Peers does very well to reach and get back, and Ram then misses a very easy forehand. It goes to 2 deuces but some excellent net coverage from Murray sees them hold on. Tie-break.

Baker misses an easy volley on the first point of the TB, and Murray hits a return winner on the 5th. They lead *5-1 at the change of ends.

Murray slams a forehand return down the line and Murray/Peers take the TB 7-2!

Perhaps, but a night session on Arthur Ashe is something special. Certainly the biggest the match of Colin's career and for Jonny something that only Wimbledon 2012 will have surpassed. Hopefully they can enjoy it.

Ram's returning this match has been surprisingly decent this match. But Murray/Peers lead 3-2* final set.

J&J should have broke, they had two break points but a cautious volley from John cost them the first and a telegraphed cross, also from John, cost them the second.

*3-3 in the third

Murray/Peers get to 15-40 but Baker plays a super lob onto the baseline and then n inside out forehand down the line to save both break points. 3-3.
