No good:

QF:  (2) Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares (AUT/BRA) defeated Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) by 6-4 6-7(4) 6-4 cry

Still a good tournament for them.

Shame, I'd really hope they'd come through. Sounds like a very close match.

Close match against the second seeds. But the partnership is continuing to show promise.

All best wishes to Messrs Inglot and Huey.

The fact that the BBC chose to run a story on Ms Baltacha's comments re: Mr Evans (no news, just comment about his "turning the corner") yesterday, but failed to run a separate story on Mr Murray (J) and Mr Peers ... or the prospects of Huey/Inglot ... is ... well ... entirely of a piece with general coverage of doubles.

Regrettable, too, that we can't access US footage of the Bryans/Marray and Fleming match, as there seem to be numerous comments about how high the level of play was ... and clips of particularly spectacular exchanges.

Serving at 5*-6 and you serve two double faults ? TWO doubles faults ? You could just give them the game . . .

7-5 to 'the others'

(Like the yellow t-shirts though)

2 double faults and 2 good points from Dodig/Melo see them break Huey in the final game of the set.

Huey/Inglot 5-7

They won the first point of most return games and got to 0-30 at 5-5, but just couldn't build on it and didn't create a break point.

QF:  (10) Ivan Dodig & Marcelo Melo (CRO/BRA) defeated (16) Treat Huey (PHI) & Dominic Inglot by 5 & 3  cry

They seem to have faded quite badly after a valiant effort in the first set, though did at least manage a break in the second to make it look a bit more respectable.  I suppose they weren't actually seeded to win... hmm

Dodig looked ominously good in that match.
