Have I missed an article? Or is it in fact the case that the BBC has nothing on its website to indicate (unless, presumably, you wish to scroll through running commentary ad nauseam) that two British, or at least partially British, pairings have made the doubles quarterfinals?
A tiebreak the Bryan bros take 9-7 though suggests it was very tight and our boys are doing well.
I don't think it's been mentioned here and I don't really think it has an bearing but Marray is one half of the last pair to beat the Bryans in a Grand Slam in the semis of Wimbledon last year, can we hope that give Mike and Bob a few extra nerves today?

And Fleming and Marray save several match points on their serve .... to force the Bryans to serve it out (currently 5-4). If you're going to be the night match on Ashe, this is the way to do it.
PS: Coming in late (or early) to the thread on Inglot and Huey - not surprised poor Mr Granollers doesn't have much left in him, after three five-set matches in a row. Doesn't, however, bode well for his match with Djokovic. Sigh. Or take away from the excellence of our third set of quarterfinalists.

Congratulations to Mr Fleming and Mr Marray on a superb tournament and what would appear (from the commentary) to have been a seriously exciting match.
I have enormous - if sad - confidence, that having failed to mention in a separate article the fact that four Britons were in the doubles QFs at the point where all were still in contention, the BBC will now run its first story on the doubles with a headline along the lines of "Brave British pair fall to Bryans" (giving the Beeb the benefit of the doubt that we will be spared "crash out"). And, alas, equal confidence that the remaining two doubles pairings will merely be granted a final paragraph detailing their forthcoming matches ... and that's it. Please, BBC, prove me wrong! Give doubles some respect, even when Mr Murray (A) isn't playing!

Why on earth is Colin/Jonny's match still on the schedule and not Azarenka-Ivanovic when all the other women's singles have been completed and this is the only men's doubles QF to be played today?

C'mon, they are playing the BRYANS. You know, the last American males in the tournament. Even Fed bumped off onto Armstrong to make way for them.
I wonder if he needed a satnav to find Armstrong. I'm not sure he knew there was more than one court at the USO.
