I've no particular preference for or against Nadal.
But I did watch his Wimbledon loss this year, and it was blindingly obvious he was struggling with an injury issue. After a time he very unusually hardly hit over any backhands, basically was just slicing it, and was running round it on to his forehand to an often ridiculous looking extent. I assume it was a real issue to bend the knee to hit over a backhand.
As for bad loser and blaming his knee, in his PC he was pushed by the media about there being a problem and he markedly would not blame any injury issue
To put this thread back on topic it is now certain that Dan's US Open exploits will put him in the top 150. The highest he can be is 147, but Sugita can go above him by winning the Shanghai challenger and Brown can go above him by winning the Genova challenger. Both have reached the SFs.
Drugs can help a tennis player with strength and endurance, but they don't make you a better player. And Nadal has mainly been DESTROYING his opponents recently, not just grinding them down.
