Impressively one sided scores on Ct 11 means it's not too late to watch Hev. Tough match, but hopefully at least Hev can put in a good performance. After that she will be relying on Halep not playing like last week.
Well that was a brilliant start from Heather, very aggressive and dominating play. The question is will she be confident enough to still be aggressive after missing a few in that last game?
Good for Ms Watson. Hope she takes lots of confidence from that and gets ready to move forward in smaller tournaments this Autumn.
PS: Know it's not wholly relevant to this board, but what a win for young Ms Duval! And what a lovely interview with Pam Shriver. http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-commentary/article/9607262/2013-us-open-victoria-duval-surprises-upsets-sam-stosur-first-round She comes across as very well grounded and gracious - despite the rather extraordinary pressures she has faced and faces. Puts a lot of what people are concerned about in perspective.

You get the feeling that there isn't too much between them from the back of the court. It could be very close if Hev serves well. Doing all right so far.
Hev playing really well, but a few errors in that last game unfortunately. You feel she needs to win this set as it would be a major blow to lose it playing so well.
Halep df to start helps...
