Chapeau! Didn't expect that - nice comfortable win!

I expected Ash to win easily, and Oli to lose, perhaps in 3. Ash will be scratching his head; Oli should be full of confidence once again....

 I know just what you mean - it's a strange ol' game . . .

Yes, but only in the sense that while a month or two ago, Bega might have been seen as the strong favourite, results this month suggested it should be close. Putting Bega away that convincingly is impressive - Oli must be playing a lot more like we'd want him to (and, more importantly, like he'd want himself to!)

Good work by Oli, playing more consistently at a higher level, great to see.

No reason why Oli cannot win his semi as well - Marti or Becker. The top half of the draw looks much more difficult to get through so he's been luckier with the draw.

Impressive scorelines this week.

Looks to me that Oli had a difficult few months, but may be playing his way out of it.

If so credit to him for working away, making any changes he may have.

I have generally always seen Oli as potential at least top 200, but one can't necessarily expect a smooth linear progress to that point.

SF: (5) Oli Golding WR 475 v Richard Becker (GER) WR 626 (CH 521 in 2012)

H2H 0-1 - Becker is the player who beat Oli 3 & 2 in the Madrid final in early June.

Was that the week when there were a few "verbals" flying around ?
