She had 3, led 6-3*

That would have been a huge result for her. Very rough not to close that set out, and will do well to stay in touch from here on out.

Amanda loses the TB 7-9 after having at least 4 MP's. so 1 set all now and I am not overly optimistic about Amanda winning as Friedsam lost the 1st set and came back to win the next 2 yesterday. I was hoping that Amanda could win in straight sets.

Pity cry. So near yet so far, I always thought that if Amanda was to win this match she had to do it in 2 sets and after not managing to take the MP's in the 2cd, well...........

 

Nevertheless 8 points to add to her yearly tally.
