Wow thats incredibly impressive I think - the quality of the player and the way Kyle sustained his level throughout the match, arguably improving even, after losing a tight first set. All the more impressive considering his opponent was coming in to this week having won his previous futures event!
Really, really pleased with that, a class performance indeed.
Great news to come back to. Having watched Kyle play catch up for most of the first 2 sets, a win seemed unlikely. But as I have said before, Kyle plays so well under pressure and is much more mature than his 18 years.
Samper Montana is a quality clay court specialist - at this level anyway. As I mentioned previously, he had an MP against Busta in a final during the run where Busta was quite simply unbeatable. So to get the win is a fantastic result.
Who knows what might happen now in this tournament, It is there for the taking, But I'm sure the other 3 semi finalists are saying the same thing.
kyle breaks in the first game 1*-0, expecting it to be fairly straight foward today, kyle full of confidence, and the cobwebs well and truely blown away
