As Steven said Naomi won more points, 91 to 86, and more games, 14 to 13, and won more breaks of serve 5 to 4, and still lost the match!! Ah the wonder of tennis???

So Joko breaking in the first game - I must say I keep waiting for the dip in form and as of yet it doesnt seem to be coming. From seeing a bit of live and following her scores, she seems to be getting into every game and looking to take it, which is always a great sign that Jo is a level ahead. Seems like she has gone from a top 200 player to one clearly a calibre above overnight

I would say she was a solid top 150 player who was capable of playing top 100 tennis especially at slams on an inconsistent basis, but now since Wimby this form is of more of a consistent top 100 player.

The serve is crucial, if thats firing she can dominate opponents as her ability to break serve has always been very high. Also keeping the foot on the gas after a dominant 1st set performance I believe is also key.

I can easily see her matching last year at the US open with a reasonable draw.

JoKo must be so full of confidence right now I bet she's not even feeling tired from all the matches she has played. Just needs to keep it going as long as possible because at this rate it's hard to see anyone stopping her in this tournament.
