While I would like to see Jade win in 2, I am confident that she will win the match as her fitness will come into play if there is a 3rd set.

But two love games smacks of some sort of injury problem?

Shame for Jade, did well to get in a winning position but just couldn't get over the line

Shame but best of luck for that final set and I hope that there is no injury

No it smacks of a choke I think. Or Liv just raising her game if course.

I disagree about the choke, but no way of knowing without seeing the match wink

The game was so close up to then - you only need a tiny bit of nervousness and caution on Jade's part and/or a tiny bit of fearlessness/better play by Liv and the balance swings.

But the third set is a one-set shoot-out .. . .

I'll admit it's looking more like your theory PaulM with of course Olivia raising her game at just the right time..

Jade is at least proving once again that she is competitive at this level and this is a very high level for a 25K.

The US wildcard Robin Anderson has put out Razzano, no 1 seed, three long sets and a third set tb - so Naomi may have a great chance for a good tournament - potential QF against Tara ???

Jade's made huge strides, it seems to me, in the last few months . . . not over yet . . ..

Agree despite losing, she is picking up points at this level and being competitive against higher ranked opposition.

The future is promising for Jade on recent form.

and it is over. Lost in three.

One that got away but she should look forward to the next tournament and the next chance. Playing well.

Ah pity.

Certainly was a momentum change after Jade missed out on MP in thw second set. Given the final games of that set were actually not close and Jade generally fought well ( eg. better on BPs and saving MP at the end herself ) I don't really think we have evidence of a choke. Of course, don't know what happened on Jade's own MP and it is more of a porential issue when close to winning as distinct to fighting to stay alive.

Again, Jade would appear to have played to a good level. For ne, she has been the most pleasant surprise among the GB women this year.

Anderson was the player Jade beat 2 & 4 in the FQR in Vancouver last week!
