James goes down in three. After winning a tournament just two weeks ago, this is a disappointment. I don't feel he played his best, but I only watched the second half of the match
James didn't play particularly well. Very frustrated at the slow courts and Odensik's defensive capabilities which meant he went for too many lines and missed more than he hit.
Odensik is very much a clay courter and the court speed suited him, James struggled to get many cheap points on serve.
I didn't see much of that (possibly a good thing) but from what I did see, Odesnik was doing little but keeping the ball in court and waiting for Wardy errors and James obliged far too often. Gutting really, seems like a match he could well have won. 15 breaks in a 3-set men's match is shocking though and probably says a lot about the court speed.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
These kind of matches (and I know there's a long way to go yet) do raise questions about wildcards for some of these youngsters.
I suppose it's all experience but it has to be pretty disheartening getting thumped week in - week out.
As I say this of course Evo's down three BPs
