James losing to a guy ranked only 324 hardly fills you with confidence, even though there was nothing resting on the outcome.

Who is going to have the best tournament here, Dan or Dino?  My money is on Dan.  Neither of them is on today's order of play.

I really feel that I should be irritated at James for losing last night but all honesty I am not. It can't be easy playing when you know that it doesn't really matter.

I really do hope these two "synchornise their diaries" for a while - hopefully touring together will do away with some of the loneliness and a bit of friendly competition can't hurt - might give Dan the impetus to move on and Wardy an opportunity to stop plodding.

Had James won he would of faced second seed our Russian friend, so he's got the better draw

Not true. After qualifying was completed the 5 names would have been drawn randomly into the 5 slots.

James is second on court 5 (first match starts at 10 am local time) and Dan is NB 5 pm local time on the same court.

Worthy of note that Wardy's conqueror in the (irrelevant) FQR took Donskoy all the way before losing 7-6 in the 3rd.

Dan somehow contrives to lose his service game. 2-2.

But breaks straight back in the next, *3-2 Dan.
