Evo has a very good draw, fingers crossed he recovers from Vancouver enough to take advantage of it

James has twice been a break up in the second (I think) and got broken back. s-a-d face . . .

4-4 - - -come on James, don't drag it out, let someone else have the court . . .

Dino finally turns on the after-burners, taking the decider by 6-1.  The Aussie q8, John-Patrick Smith, in the FQR later.

By my calculations (which are usually wrong) if Wardy wins the FQR and Evo wins his final tonight, both players will enter the MD with 283 points !! Great battle for UK Nš 2, albeit for a week until Evo's next points come off.

Oh, and well played Wardy.

QR2: (q1) James Ward WR 179 beat Nicolas Meister (USA) WR 434 (CH 356 in Jun) by 6-4 5-7 6-1

That should take James into the main draw as either a Q or a LL but there will be 5 points for qualifying available later:

FQR: (q1) James Ward WR 179 v (q8) John-Patrick Smith (AUS) WR 324 (CH 210 in 2012)
