Evo's forehand tonight is unbelievable (when it goes in at least) ... he's playing almost as if it's a bit of a hit and giggle, but really getting the job done.

8 of the last 9 games for Dan - Pella must feel like they're on grass again!

Love hold. Dan in total control. Only a major mental lapse can stop him now.

My word. Pella is a top 100 player and Evo is not just beating him, but at times, he is serious taking the Michael.

And there's the double break. Evo totally dominating our top seed in Aptos. 4-0 and Evo about to serve - he is on FIRE!

Evans wins 7-5 6-1. Complete performance from Dan tonight, particularly in that second set. What a great couple of weeks and Dustov in the semis is another great shot at a 100k final.

Does anyone know who is coaching Dan at the moment?

Mr Daniel Evans should be playing on the ATP Main Tour ................ plain and simples wink.

I certainly think he can get there but if he is to do so then he needs to apply himself like this week in week out for at least 9-10 months of the year. The last two weeks have been fantastic and I just hope that it will convince him that he really wants the life of a professional tennis player and that the sacrifices are worth making.

(Sorry couldn't resist that one).

Sounds like it was a great performance from Dan, wish I had stayed up.   How was Dan serving?  The stats say 63% of points behind his second serve and this is a big improvement. Just 3 DFs will have helped.

I have watched Dustov play a couple of times this week - he is also having an fantastic run having had to qualify.  He has a big game and an expecially big forehand. Ranking wise, there is nothing between him and Dan.

I'd like to ask Dan where he thinks this tremendous run of form is down to. It looked very unlikely after seeing him play in Lexington.

I'll be watching  tonight.   Good luck mate!

Well done Dan. Couldn't watch last night, but will, for sure tonight.
