Yeah looking a bit more focussed again, it was just one sloppy game that cost him that second set, and I get the feeling that one strong return game would win him this one.
Whatever happens here I am delighted to see Dan playing with this level of aggression and intensity. The difference between this week and last week is astonishing.
The great part this year about Evo is that when he's playing well he looks like a solid top 100 player, that is a big improvement from last year. He's also done it more consistently.
I'd go as far to say that is capable of winning a tournament of this stature if he maintains this form.
So good to see Dan putting together two excellent performances at a 100K level tournament. And a foreign one at that.
Because, although it's been mentioned before, this is a player (WR248) who has 18 ranking events of which only 1 (ONLY ONE) comes from outside the UK - it's truly staggering.
