RE: Week 31 - Challenger ($100,000) - Vancouver, Canada (Hard)

On the plus side, Wardy created chances to break after losing that early break.
Looks (although it's hard to tell from just a scoreboard) like he's at least matched McGee after that point, hopefully he can get a grip on the match in this set.

And right on cue, Wardy breaks to 15 to lead 2-0 in the second :)

2-0 up a break in the 2nd. Could he become the 7th Brit in the last 24hrs to win from a set down?

Wardy getting well stuck into McGee's serve now, another deuce which the Irishman battles through but James serving at 4-2 and looking much better now.

Well done Wardy, currently level at 2-2 in the third. Unbelievably though, James is only 1/11 on BPs. Obviously there's no coverage, can only imagine McGee must be throwing down some big serves when he's up against it.

Out of nowhere McGee gets up 30-40 with Ward serving to stay in the match...
James saves the match point, and three points in a row take it to 5-5 final set. TENSE!

And how many times do we see the momentum shift after a player saves BP, Wardy gets a BP in the very next game. Back to deuce. Advantage Ward again...
TAKES THE BREAK - WARD TO SERVE FOR THE MATCH.

Very very happy that my fears were unnecessary.

Good fighting win for Wardy.
