SF: (1) Dan Smethurst WR 410 vs (5) Dan Cox WR 461 SF: (4) Ashley Hewitt WR 465 vs Richard Gabb WR 601
Dan S has a 2-2 record in Futures singles SFs this year, Dan C a 4-1 record, Ashley 2-3 and Richard 1-2.
The H2H between the Dans is 2-1 to Dan Cox but they haven't played in an ATP-ranked match since 2008.
Ashley leads the ITF H2H against Richard 2-0 - a 3-set win in 2010 and a straight sets win earlier this year.
This tournament is now certain to produce the biggest ATP singles points haul for GB from a single Futures event since the new points system can in at the start of 2010.
Futures producing 50 or more singles points for Brits since the end of 2009 are as follows - as you can see, this time of year is by far the most successful and 9 of the 10 biggest points hauls come from events in the second half of the year:

Note that the total number of points available from 15K Futures is 78 c.f. 56 for 10K Futures, but that is usually counteracted by stronger entries from non-Brits for 15Ks ... though perhaps not this week!
In a similar vein, the best GB singles points hauls in Futures outside the UK since the start of 2010 have been as follows (30 or more points):

Certainly been a very weak foreign representation this week. With it also being a 15K the opportunity was there for a big local points haul, which has certainly been taken.
I think many of the early season 10Ks had stronger fields.

Yes there were some stronger fields earlier in the year that was partially down to British players, i.e Evans and Goodall.
Next week's field at Chiswick is much stronger with Boy Westerhof and Jules Marie set to be seeds 1 and 2. Goodall is also still on the entrance list so might well play.
